Obituary for Magdalene Rose Parker

Magdalene Rose Parker, 70, passed away on August 10, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born in Detroit, MI., on May 26, 1946 to Roman and Joan Arjay and grew up in Plymouth, MI. She attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a BA in English and French.

Maggie, as she was known by her friends, relocated to Costa Mesa, Ca and raised two wonderful sons, Mark and Paul Lamme. In 1984 she married Biff Parker and in 1988 the family moved to Lake Havasu.
Maggie was a homemaker, talented baker, and artist in clay. Her love of animals of all kinds was an important part of her life.

Anybody who visited Maggie’s house knew about her passion of bringing in sheltered pets. She always stressed the importance of loving things that other people considered unlovable. With her exceptional ability to love and infectious smile, Maggie brought a ray of sunshine to everyone she encountered.

In lieu of flowers and her love for animals, donations may be made to the San Diego Zoo in memory of Magdalene Rose Parker, San Diego Zoo, P.O. Box 120551, San Diego, CA 92112 or online at sandiegozoo.org/memorial.
